Our Team

 

Simon Cooper
Simon has over 20 years' experience of managing and leading high performing teams. He started life in the financial sector where he ran a number of sales teams and gained a broad range of general management experience. He then moved into the recruitment sector where he set up three regional offices before becoming group managing director. Following a period working as an associate with GBS Corporate Training, Simon founded ELC Training Solutions in 2008 where he has since built a high quality team of learning and development professionals. He is the author of the best selling leadership development book,
Brilliant Leader. Simon's passion is creating high impact learning experiences that enable the swift and easy transfer of knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours to the working environment.

Simon delivers a range of leadership and business skills programs including Brilliant Leadership, Managing & Leading High Performing Teams, Strategic Planning, Presentation Skills, Negotiation Skills, Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills and Effective Teamworking. He also spearheads our senior leader development and talent management programs. Simon is located in Bournemouth, Dorset.   

  Harry Hayden
Harry has held senior leadership positions with several large multinationals where he built and led high performing European sales groups. He has also served on the boards of several smaller companies, introducing results driven leadership strategies to deliver significant business growth. Harry is results driven, has a very creative, analytical mind and has long nurtured an intensive interest in the psychology of effective leadership. His approach is consultative, always working closely with clients.

Harry is a member of our senior leader development and talent management team, including the provision of coaching support. He facilitates our Brilliant Leadership workshops as well as managing key client relationships. Harry is located in Hook, Hampshire

 

 

  Colin Dunk
Colin has had experience of different industries in various countries. He began his working life as an engineer in the car industry and subsequently taught in a state school in Birmingham. He later settled in Hong Kong where he worked for an international airline in a variety of different management positions. Apart from Hong Kong, he has lived and worked in Australia and Spain. For the past ten years he has been back in the UK and involved in the training and development of people.

Colin has experience of developing managers at all levels from executives to team leaders and is a key facilitator on our management and leadership development programs, including our Brilliant Leadership workshops. Apart from leadership development, Colin regularly conducts communication and interpersonal skills workshops and retains an interest in language teaching by running our business writing skills courses. Colin is located in Chorley, Lancashire.

 

  Linda Pearce
Linda is an experienced learning and development consultant and coach whose broad experience spans 23 years. During this time she has held a variety of management and learning and development positions in the retail and travel industries for companies such as The Body Shop International, Pilot Clothing, Budget Rent a Car and the My Travel Group. Linda has 13 years people management/leadership experience which includes leading remote teams and large teams of up to 30 people.

Linda enjoys working with both groups of delegates and individuals and gets real job satisfaction from helping people to achieve what she describes as “light bulb moments”. She prides herself on working with managers, teams and individuals to identify their key areas for development and then designing practical, memorable and effective training interventions to meet those needs. Her enthusiastic and energetic training style engages delegates and ensures they gain the maximum benefit from the training courses they attend.

Linda uses a range of experiential and brain friendly learning techniques to enhance the effectiveness of the workshops and training programmes she designs and delivers. She spearheads our coaching support service as well as delivering courses on coaching, stress management, time management, assertiveness and a number of our management and leadership courses, including our Brilliant Leadership workshops. Linda is located in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

 

David Bacon
David is a highly experienced trainer and consultant with a particular focus on management development and commercial awareness. He gained his experience in a wide range of managerial positions, junior through to senior, whilst employed by The Post Office and has since worked with many organisations from the private and public sectors to enhance people, processes and business cultures. David’s approach to clients is one of partnership, working with them to develop their people in the way that is most appropriate to moving the business forward. His very enthusiastic, energetic and infectious training style is down-to-earth, and designed to ensure that delegates are able to apply new skills and techniques in the workplace.

David's broad experience enables him to deliver across a broad range of subject areas, including our management and leadership development courses. He is our project management, contract management, financial awareness and negotiation skills specialist and also facilitates our Brilliant Leadership workshops. David is located in Rugby, Warwickshire.

 

 

Geoff Griffiths
Geoff worked in within the petro-chemical industry where he held a number of management roles including spells in the Middle East and Asia. Since moving into the training sector Geoff has gained a powerful reputation for designing and facilitating unique experiential learning events that are highly active and interactive. He also has significant experience of making change interventions where his focus is around enabling individuals and teams to deliver success. 

Geoff spearheads the design and delivery of our team building events and facilitates many of our management and leadership programs as well as our communication and interpersonal skills courses. Geoff is also an excellent coach and is a key member of our coaching support team. Geoff is located in West Kirby, Wirral.

 

 

Michael Westland-Rose
Michael's career began as a professional actor spanning ten years in stage, television and films. He later became partner and director of a successful courier company servicing London's advertising agencies. His participative workshops and highly practical style have led him to successfully work with staff of all levels and disciplines within a wide variety of industries. In addition to running courses for groups, Michael also works with individuals on a one-to-one coaching basis, often at senior manager & CEO level, particularly in relation to important presentations, keynote events and media interviews.

Michael specialises in presentation skills, conference speaking, media interviews, communication and interpersonal skills. He also provides coaching support in these areas. Michael is located in Camberley, Surrey.

 

Terry Ramsey
Terry is a Master Certified Coach and leader in the world of coaching. Her inspiring style and deep capacity to connect powerfully with people has consistently resulted in the generation of quality relationships and award winning teams. Terry partners with executives, managers and employees to increase their Emotional Intelligence, create impact, communicate effectively, and build alliances to balance themselves and others to peak performance. She is able to create the environment, structure, focus and honesty necessary for learning, change and achievement to flourish.

Terry’s passion is to create ‘coaching cultures’ within organizations. Using her strengths-based approach and substantial international/cross-cultural expertise she has worked with hundreds of mid- and senior-level managers/ leaders. Prior to becoming an Executive Coach, Terry held leadership positions in healthcare across Canada. A skilled coach provokes thought, engages you in dialogue, and ultimately lets you decide what’s best.

Terry received her Master Coach designation (MCC) in 2003 from The International Coach Federation (credentials which are held by less than 1% of all coaches) Terry currently serves on the Board of Ethics Committee of the International Coach Federation, the organization that establishes industry standards to insure the highest level of professionalism in coaching, worldwide. Terry is located in Vancouver, Canada.
